FORUM MARE BALTICUM e.V. was founded in 2009 in Berlin as a voluntary association in order to strengthen mutual understanding and cross border cooperation in the Baltic Sea region between different actors in the field of culture and art, as writers and literary translators, historians, visual artists, scholars, curators, editors and publishers. Among its aims is the support of a virtual Baltic Sea Library.
