Aygi, Galina
Born in Moscow in 1937. German studies at the Moscow School of Languages. Worked as a guide and interpreter at "Intourist" for two years and 30 years as lecturer at the Moscow Gnessins Academy of Music.
Translator of technical and musicological texts from German and Dutch, additionally literary translations of Felix Philip Ingold and Walter Thümler.
For Gennady Aygi she translated many texts of German-language poets (including Paul Celan, Günter Eich, Friedrike Mayröcker, Peter Huchel, Oskar Pastior, Thomas Kling), which he rendered into Chuvash and Russian.
